Ring in a Day

Have you ever thought about making your own ring, in silver, fully hall marked and all within one not very strenuous day?Why not be your own jeweller? This is an opportunity to design and make your own silver ring at the Bishopsland Workshops under the direction of the Principal Penelope Makower CSD.

The workshop's main function is to provide a one year course for rising stars on their way to make their names as jewellers. Ring In A Day allows a small group with no previous experience of Jewellery to spend a day in the workshop being guided by experienced jewellers. Attendees will design and make their own unique piece of jewellery. At the end of the day they are able to take home a ring, duly assayed and hall-marked.

The more ambitious could also undertake a pendant for their favourite chain. Silver for the pendant will cost extra. Please bring a chain.

Places are limited and are offered on a first come, first served basis.

Bishopsland lies between Reading and Henley -you will need your own transport.

The programme is part of an initiative by the Bishopsland Educational Trust to bring the enjoyment and knowledge of silver to a wider audience. These short courses are held every two to three months.
